MAKE MUSIC HAWAII WINTER AT KA MAKANA ALI‘I

Join us as we celebrate Make Music Hawaii Winter on Tuesday, December 21, from 4 to 8 p.m.! We will be showcasing a new mural by Bethany Georges, Serenading the Nene, that celebrates music in Hawaii! The work of art will be located on the wall between Hawaii’s Finest and Kids City. The mural will be the impetus of a multi-week Ka Makana Ali‘i social media promotion with various prizes featuring dining and music experiences at Ka Makana Ali‘i.

Throughout the evening, enjoy a curated audio playlist from Aloha Got Soul, a Honolulu-based record label championing new music and rare reissues from Hawaii. The playlist will also be available for download through the end of the year. Find the QR code near the new Serenading the Nene mural.

We will also be conducting a Text-to-the-Symphony scavenger hunt through the shopping center during the event. Signs featuring musical instruments paired with a keyword will be placed at participating stores and restaurants. Shoppers text in the keywords for a chance to win tickets for two to the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Concert on Saturday, January 8 at 7:30 p.m.
