Who qualifies as an Artist for Make Music Hawaiʻi? Everyone. We want all the citizens of our state to have fun and participate.
Music Makers of all ages, abilities, and genres are encouraged to participate. Whether it’s your cousin who plays the tuba, your neighbor’s garage band, your school drumline, your church choir, or your favorite House DJ, anyone and everyone can join the music-making that is taking place around the world on June 21st.

Create an account. Making an account does NOT mean you’re required to participate. It’s just a start.
You will get a confirmation email to finish the account setup. Reply to confirm.
Don’t stop there! Re-enter the portal and create your musician profile. There’s room for a picture, bio, and links to all your socials. Select your location, genre of music, and times you’re available to perform on June 21.
Save your profile and publish it on the portal to see all registered Make Music Hawaii participants.
Find a venue that best matches you! Venue profiles will provide information on their location, the genre of music they’re looking for, and what kind of stage/sound/power equipment they can provide. Connect and communicate with any venue through the portal. Check the portal regularly to see if any venues reached out to you or to check out newly registered venues that may be more your fit!
This is intended to be a grassroots process with minimal involvement by the Make Music Day organizations. Instead, this is a way to directly connect venues and musicians to decide how they best want to celebrate Make Music Day on June 21, 2022!

If you think you would make a good spot for some free, live music in 2022, whether you’re a restaurant, a storefront, or just have a spacious area, sign up your space to allow Artists to choose to play your space. With our matchmaking software, Artists can request to play in your space, or you can search the Artist listings to make your own match. Then invite your friends!
Venues and specifics on 2022 Events will also be contingent upon COVID-19 restrictions.
