Over the Years

  • 2023 - Make Music Hawaiʻi extended to all of the neighbor islands: Maui, Oʻahu, Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi, Hawaiʻi Island, and Kauaʻi. We had 61 registered performances for Make Music Day. Over 200 performers celebrated music at 48 different venues across the state and even more online.

  • 2022 - Make Music Hawaiʻi expanded across the pae ʻāina from Oʻahu to Maui, Molokaʻi, and Hawaiʻi Island featuring some of our locally-grown artists and upcoming musicians.

  • 2021 - Make Music Hawaiʻi was live, in-person and virtual for Season 2 with over 100 venues and musicians participating and a shared live stream performance with Make Music Australia and Hawaii composers collaborating with NYC Make Music composers on #mysongisyoursong.

  • 2020 - Make Music Hawai‘i became an official chapter to bring the music of Hawaiʻi to the world. Under COVID restrictions, we launched Season 1 on June 21, with 32 Hawaii composers participating in the national program #mysongisyoursong.

All Make Music Hawaiʻi Day (June 21) events are free and open to the public. More Make Music Hawaii events will occur every month on the 21st across the State of Hawaii. Stay tuned for more information by subscribing to our newsletter or following Make Music Hawaii on Facebook or Instagram!
